  1. How long will it be for this construction to be done really like to read it. Also one more thing tell me about regrowing your marijuana plant after cutting for harvests. I like your site. Very Educated!! Thank you !

  2. Howdy Chris,

I’m sorry, but it will be some time before I can get back to writing on the bonsai subject. I’m currently packing to move from Colorado to Florida.Florida is voting in November on Medical Marijuana and I want to get in on the ground floor. Truth is I have lived in the mountains of Colorado for 40 years and now it time to go live at the white sand beaches of the Florida panhandle and do some fishing.

However, to bonsai a marijuana plant incorporate LST methods and keep growing the plant in a small pot letting it get root bound and let it stay root-bound. Incorporate trimming methods to keep the plant small and train it to the shape you want by the trimming and LST methods. Make sure the plant always is getting 18 hours of light. Fertilize lightly and only a high nitrogen fertilizer. Some varieties will bonsai better than others but will require experimenting to figure that out. I would recommend reading a bonsai book on deciduous trees but DO NOT follow the instructions on winterizing and never use an auto-flowering variety of cannabis.

As far a regrowing marijuana after cutting for harvest, I don’t recommend doing that. I have found regrowing to be a waste of time, energy and resources. It will take a couple of months just to pull it out of the flowering stage before it will actually re-vegetate. Most of the time it will revert back to a single or tipple bladed leaf that will take forever to revert back to a five or seven bladed leaf. Branches will be thin and small never gaining the diameter to produce a decent size flower bud. It would be more productive to harvest just the top large buds of the plant letting smaller bottom buds develop longer.

I hope this helps. Tom D.

  3. Thank you Thomas ! I figure it would be a waste of time to regrow. I’ll stick with making my on female seed using “Colloidal Silver” . Have fun in Florida. Been there it nice on beach in Destiny FL. The bad thing about it the Hurricane like to take over. I live in Colorado too. Thanks again.
