Sensi Seeds – Regular Seeds

Regular Cannabis Seeds

Regular cannabis seeds are bred from a male and a female parent, and can produce male or female plants. There is no way to tell whether a regular cannabis seed will produce a male or female plant apart from growing and flowering it. However, once a plant has been in the flowering phase for about two weeks, it is quite easy to tell the difference between males, with their oval pods, and females, which produce a a teardrop-shaped calyx from which a pair of white hairs emerge. These regular seeds are a good choice for growing organic marijuana or medical marijuana.

When growing regular cannabis seeds, the natural ratio of females to males is around one-to-one (66% female). When planning a grow, it is best to assume that half of the seeds started will turn out female and germinate extra seeds to account for the males that will be discarded early in flowering.

Various factors influence whether feminized or regular cannabis seeds are the most suitable choice for an individual grower. Growing conditions, available space and time, level of experience and personal preference all play a part. If the intention is to breed cannabis and create seeds, both male and female plants are needed, so regular cannabis seeds are required.

Cloning involves taking cuttings from female plants and encouraging them to root, so that they become identical copies of the ‘mother plant’. While plants from regular and feminized seeds can both be made into mother plants, it is likely that a regular female will give healthy clones for a longer period (several years, in most cases) than a mother plant grown from feminized seed.

White Widow Seeds

white-widow-SENSI

  • Regular strain
  • XXL Yield
  • Sunny / Mediterranean
  • Average height gain
  • Short flowering period (50 – 65 days)
  • 70% Indica

The backbone of the Dutch coffee-shop industry, the first of the “white weed” strains and an all-round commercial success story, White Widow is one of the most famous cannabis strains in modern growing. While this is partly due to her memorable name, her speed, yield and stunningly thick coating of trichomes have a lot more to do with it! Mostly-Indica, with sweet, thick, acrid smoke that imparts a hammering stone, White Widow is a major part of many visitors’ first experience of Amsterdam. White Widow grown from seed is very easy to clone, and is a good plant with which to perfect your technique.

Master Kush Seeds

master-kush-SENSI

  • Regular strain
  • Large Yield
  • Temperate / Continental
  • Compact plant
  • Short flowering period (50 – 55 days)
  • 95% Indica

An Indian-Afghani hybrid created from two true-breeding Indica seed lines that were collected in different parts of the Hindu-Kush. The cannabis from this area has always been valued for its resin production and Master Kush retains this quality, as well as the vintage flavour of her parents earthy and pungent, with a hint of incense. The taste of Master Kush will remind many smokers of hand-rubbed charas hashish. This is no surprise, as Kush weed is a major source of charas. A plant of great physical power, without the mind-numbing ‘stoney’ effect of many Indica strains.

White Skunk Seeds

white-skunk-photo sensi

  • Regular strain
  • Large Yield
  • Temperate / Continental
  • Average height gain
  • Short flowering period (50 – 55 days)
  • 35% Sativa / 65% Indica

An excellent variety for first-time growers, White Skunk will also be of interest to those connoisseurs who know that high quality cannabis genetics can still be obtained at a reasonable price. Like all Skunks, this seed-strain is uniform, potent and easy to grow. She retains the Skunks’ rapid flowering time, while her open bud structure reflects the Sativa side of her ancestry. White Skunk’s aroma is an improvement over the ‘typical Skunk’ smell. She produces large buds smothered in resin crystals and infused with a rich, bitter-orange scent that is reminiscent of a fine liqueur.

Double Gum Seeds

double-gum-photo sensi

  • Regular strain
  • Large Yield
  • Temperate / Continental
  • Compact plant
  • Short flowering period (45 – 50 days)
  • 80% Indica

A deliciously sweet flavour is just one of the remarkable qualities of this cannabis strain. At her best, Double Gum has a taste and smell reminiscent of classic pink bubble-gum and a power that will surprise you. These seeds will produce strong, versatile plants that are ideal for indoor growing or greenhouse cultivation and can also flourish outdoors in warmer climates. A compact Indica growth-pattern makes this an easy plant to grow and work with. Double Gum females grow a large central bud and individuals that also produce many side-branches should be selected as heavy-yielding mother plants.

White Gold Seeds

white-gold-photo sensi

  • Regular strain
  • XXL Yield
  • Sunny / Mediterranean
  • Average height gain
  • Short flowering period (50 – 65 days)
  • 40% Sativa / 60% Indica

A very special breed of cannabis – a mostly-Indica hybrid, producing sweet, syrupy resin and an excellent yield. White Gold’s dense flower formation is enhanced with a unique fruity aroma and backed up by Indica power. These seeds have Sativa in their breeding history which adds a pleasant ‘up’ to the high.Like many Indica-dominant strains, leaves and flowers can turn purple in low temperatures.

Cali Orange Bud Seeds

cali-orange-bud-photo sensi

  • Regular strain
  • Heavy Yield
  • Sunny / Mediterranean
  • Compact plant
  • Short flowering period (45 – 55 days)
  • 70% Indica

This famous outdoor seed-strain from California was brought to Holland in the early Eighties and perfected for indoor and greenhouse growers. California Orange Bud is a plant with plenty of power and amazing zest in both taste and performance. Her citrus aroma is sweet in the flowering stage and delicious when smoked. Complementing her orange flavour are thick clumps of pistils growing over solid, resinous buds. When mature, they give the plants an overall colour that is more orange than green. The end result is a fruitful yield in more ways than one! A fast, trouble-free variety of cannabis, suitable for beginners or experts. There’s no need to choose between production and quality when California Orange Bud can give you both!

White Haze Seeds

white-haze-photo sensi

  • Cannabis Cup Winner
  • Regular strain
  • Heavy Yield
  • Sunny / Mediterranean
  • High plant
  • Short flowering period (50 – 70 days)
  • 70% Sativa

Winner of First Prize for Sativa in the 2002 Cannabis Cup, White Haze is a new variation on the classic Haze strain. We succeeded in boosting the already superb trichome production, while reducing the height and flowering time of the famously tall, slow-maturing Sativa. Like many of today’s premier seed-strains, the power of Sativa and Indica are both strongly expressed in White Haze’s flower formation and effect. Expect a soaring cerebral high combined with a warm body-stone. White Haze grows running Sativa colas that are given density by her Indica influence and bristle with clear resin glands.

Shiva Shanti II® Seeds

  • shiva-shanti-ii-photo sensiRegular strain
  • Large Yield
  • Temperate / Continental
  • Average height gain
  • Short flowering period (45 – 55 days)
  • 75% Indica

Shiva Shanti II and her more powerful Indica sister Shiva Shanti were two varieties released at the start of the Nineties to celebrate the expansion of breeding stock that brought Sensi Seed Bank’s gene-library to its current level. The aim of Shiva Shanti II was to make a strain that absolutely anyone could afford, while being versatile enough to grow indoors with lights, in the greenhouse, or outside in the sun at most locations below 45°N. The new strain also needed to be fast, tough and forgiving – able to reward the most inexperienced grower.

Furthermore, Shiva Shanti II also had to be pleasantly potent, but an order of magnitude less powerful than her big sister, enabling casual cannabis cultivators to enjoy the sublime experience of smoking their own hand-raised, home-grown ganja without being blown away. Naturally, even Sensi’s comparatively mild strains, when lovingly-cultivated, can be much more potent than ‘normal’ commercial cannabis, so Shiva Shanti II should never be thought of as weak.

The original Shiva Shanti is a three-way hybrid made largely from Garlic bud and another ‘heritage’ Kush strain, reinforced and invigorated by Skunk genes. For easy growing, Shiva Shanti II has a third Afghani added to the mix. This smooth and sturdy cultivar from the country’s southern plains also adds to phenotype variation in the f1 generation.

Shiva Shanti II is one of Sensi’s best sellers, partly because she’s the lowest-priced variety in our collection (making her one of the most affordable strains from any breeder), and partly because her low price has no bearing on her fine quality. Growers who’ve seen her in action know that Shiva Shanti II can produce amazingly nice results when given a chance to flourish..

  Afghan Kush Seeds

  • afghan-kush-photo sensiRegular strain
  • Large Yield
  • Temperate / Continental
  • Average height gain
  • Short flowering period (40 – 55 days)
  • 90% Indica

The original ‘AK’, brought from the heart of the Hindu Kush mountain range where its genotype has been selected and perfected over centuries to be the ultimate source of cannabis resin. Fragrant north Indian charas and sticky black Afghani hashish are both largely produced from Kush plants — a subset of the Indica family which may be considered definitive examples of that line.

Afghan Kush produces a heavy yield and remains compact, especially working with clones. Growers who flower their original seed plants will notice a jump in height at the onset of blooming, due to this strain’s natural vigour. Leaves are broad-bladed and dark green. Afghan Kush buds develop into massive, blunt-topped, resin-saturated nuggets of pure Indica goodness.

 Sensi Skunk® Seeds

  • sensi-skunk-photo sensiRegular strain
  • Large Yield
  • Temperate / Continental
  • Average height gain
  • Short flowering period (45 – 50 days)
  • 80% Indica

This solid, succulent, citrus twist on the Skunk line is a fine addition to anyone’s grow-room or garden. Sensi Skunk was the third strain launched in 1991 to celebrate the expansion of the Sensi Seed Bank gene library from world-class to world-beating status.

When selecting parents for this hybrid, Sensi breeders had three main objectives. First, a high-potency strain whose price and ease of cultivation put it within reach of anyone and everyone who might be interested in growing. While Skunk strains offered those qualities, some had been available for many years, so the next requirement was a new and distinct Skunk hybrid – one which could match Skunk #1’s excellent quality and performance while offering a clearly different experience to the smoker

Third – and perhaps most important — the new strain had to live up to the Sensi name, since it was to be part of her official title. Sensi Skunk achieves those goals with ease and, in several respects, greatly exceeds them. The perennial favourite Skunk #1 was infused with a secret, super-sweet parent plant of outstanding potency to create Sensi Skunk – a uniform, reliable, deliciously sticky strain producing larger calyxes and shorter pistils than Skunk #1.

European Skunks are often noted for being sweeter and less pungent than their North American counterparts and Sensi Skunk takes this variation to new extremes with an attention grabbing sugary-citrus Skunk bouquet that’s uniquely different from the regular Skunk funk.

Quick to bloom, thick-budding and potent enough to surprise even a jaded smoker, Sensi Skunk is also very forgiving when growing and flowering, making her a strain that is actually quite difficult to mess up. A solid performer under lights or in the greenhouse, Sensi Skunk can also flourish when grown outdoors below about 42oN
